Mario West, Mgt 06, third from right, a former Georgia Tech basketball standout and current player for the Hawks, met with accepted student applicants for the fall semester before Atlanta took on the Philadelphia 76ers in April. The future freshmen are, left to right, Matt Philips, Brandon Commadaro, Alex Fischl, Patty Reilman and Sarah Woodruff. The meet-and-greet event also featured 76ers player Thad Young, who played at Tech during the 2006-07 season. The party was organized by the Alumni Association's Georgia Tech Clubs department. Clubs across the country are sponsoring events to welcome graduating high school students who have been accepted at Tech into the Yellow Jackets family.
