Sonny Perdue signed an agreement Tuesday with the president of Lorraine to bolster business relationships between technology companies in Georgia and the French region. The accord was signed by Perdue and Jean-Pierre Masseret during a ceremony at the state Capitol. The partnership will combine the resources of the Georgia Department of Economic Development with those of its French counterpart as well as Georgia Tech's Atlanta and Metz, France campuses and the Office of Economic Development and Technology Ventures. "This agreement will elevate Georgia's technology presence in the global economy and will lead to greater opportunities for businesses in both Georgia and France," Perdue said.
