Gold & White Honors Gala

The Georgia Tech community celebrated honorable alumni and friends with a premier gala event at the 2026 Gold & White Honors. Esteemed individuals were celebrated for their service to the Institute and contributions to the community. Funds raised help develop the leaders of tomorrow by supporting the Alumni Association’s Student Programs. The event, which took place on February 12, was a night of excellence, legacy, and impact.

2026 Gold & White Honorees

The 2026 honorees for Georgia Tech’s most prestigious event of the year are recognized for their bold achievements and the brilliant legacies they are creating.

  • Tommy Holder, IM 79, the Joseph Mayo Pettit Distinguished Service Award recipient, which is the Alumni Association’s highest honor.  
  • William “Miller” Templeton, Phys 61, MS ANS 63, the John B. Carter, Jr. Spirit of Georgia Tech Award recipient. This distinction celebrates alumni who demonstrate extraordinary passion and commitment to the Institute.  
  • James A. “Sandy” Winnefeld, Jr., AE 78, the Dean Griffin Community Service Award recipient recognized for exemplary community service.  
  • Rani Tilva, BA 18, the Outstanding Young Alumni recipient for alumni under 40, who have demonstrated outstanding leadership.  
  • Chris Hall received the Honorary Alumnus designation, which recognizes non-alumni who have devoted themselves to the greater good of Georgia Tech.
