Stay Connected and Recapture the Yellow Jacket Spirit
By: Sharita Hanley | Categories: Featured Stories
The friendships, traditions, and moments that shaped you at Georgia Tech don’t have to fade with time. Beyond giving to Roll Call, stay connected through alumni communities, events, travel, volunteer opportunities, and sporting your Tech pride.
Alumni Communities

Regional Networks
Local events bring shared Yellow Jacket moments and memories—like lessons from Phil Adler’s class, drownproofing stories, and extensive thermodynamics knowledge—to wherever you call home now. Think of them as your dorm away from campus: a place to meet Jackets nearby, build meaningful relationships, and attend local gatherings that celebrate what makes Georgia Tech one-of-a-kind.
Affinity Groups
Remember the thrill of finding your student org? Affinity Groups are your chance to find your people all over again. Join groups like the Real Estate Alumni Network, Black Alumni Organization, Band Alumni Association, First Generation Affinity Group, Chinese Alumni Network, Military Affinity Group, and Women Alumnae Network. There’s a community of Yellow Jackets waiting to welcome you.

Game Watching Events
Cheering on the Jackets has always been about more than the score—it’s about shared pride and celebration. Storming the Flats after a big win. High-fiving friends after a touchdown. Tailgating and singing the Fight Song. Yelling THWg!
Game Watching Events bring the spirit of Bobby Dodd Stadium to cities across the country. Watch every first down, touchdown, and victory with fellow alumni and friends who bring the same energy and enthusiasm you
felt as a student.
Ramble the Night
This one-night-only event held in April includes close to 100 global locations and honors Yellow Jackets’ hard work and global influence. Connect with alumni in your community and ramble the night away—you’ve earned it.
Student Send-Offs
These neighborhood-style gatherings capture the spirit of FASET—although more social than academic—offering a meaningful way for alumni and friends to welcome new students to the Tech community. Join your local Georgia Tech community to celebrate a new class of Ramblin’ Wrecks before they swarm in the fall.
Home for the Holidays
Being class-free during winter break always came with a special kind of comfort and sigh of relief. Home for the Holidays events channel that same feeling by bringing alumni together with current students during the season when connection matters most.
Social in the City
Recent graduates, take a break from your hard work and get social. Enjoy a fun-filled evening with Yellow Jackets near you. Build relationships and make lifelong memories at local venues known for a good time.
Volunteer Opportunities
Mentor the Next Generation
Whether you were the president of your residence hall, a member of ROTC, a co-op participant, member of the Ramblin’ Reck Club, athlete, or part of a student organization, Tech taught you how to step up and lead the way.
Continue to spearhead the future. Share your knowledge with the next generation through Mentor Jackets, Dinner Jackets, or Jackets-to-Jackets Networking Night.
