The first three floors of the George Tower and Scheller Tower are now open for the campus community to access classrooms, conference space, and indoor and outdoor spaces. The 14-story Scheller Tower, named in recognition of Roberta and Ernest Scheller Jr., IM 52, HON PhD 13, will include the MBA and Executive Education programs for the Scheller College of Business. Beside the Scheller Tower is the 18-story George Tower, named in recognition of Penny and Bill George, IE 64, HON PhD 08. The George Tower will house the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering.

The two towers are located in the heart of Tech Square, across from the Georgia Tech Barnes & Noble bookstore. The first four floors of the building feature bird-safe window striping to prevent collisions, especially during migration seasons.

The main lobby includes an information desk and coffee shop. The second and third floors include 11 classrooms as well as huddle rooms and conference rooms.

The new facility was built using low-carbon construction, including the use of a concrete mix that incorporated fly ash, which reduced the carbon output and diverted fly ash from the landfill as well as reducing the carbon emissions in the structural materials by half versus typical construction for a similar-sized building.

All the water in the building will be captured, recycled, and reused for cooling and toilet flushing.
