Usman Jamal, CS 23

Founder, Reflex
Jamal builds technology that supports more than 20 million devices for retail businesses across more than 30 countries through his work at NCR Voyix. As founder of Reflex, Jamal aims to cut delivery time for lifesaving medical supplies, like AEDs and Narcan, by 60%–70% through drone technology.
“One of the greatest benefits of SAA is the opportunity to interact with people you may not otherwise meet, including alumni, university leaders, fellow students from different majors, and professionals from a wide range of industries. Many of the relationships, mentors, and opportunities that have shaped my career can be traced back to connections I made through SAA. Focus less on what you can gain and more on the relationships you can build.”
Carson Earnest, IE 21
Analytics Specialist, Delta Air Lines
Earnest supports planning and operational analytics for more than 200 airport locations across Delta’s network, helping optimize gate-to-gate travel times through the airline’s block-planning function.
“SAA gave me the connections and contacts needed to accelerate my career and get off the ground when I graduated from Tech. It helped get my resume to the top of the stack, where I would have been simply applying online and hoping for the best. I was also able to refine my career path by learning from so many seasoned executives, some of whom I still connect with today.”
